The IAFOR Academy is an online learning platform to deliver capacity building and professional development courses and certification offered by IAFOR and its partners. These core communication, skills, and content courses are developed in line with the organisation’s mission of encouraging interdisciplinary discussion, facilitating intercultural awareness and promoting international exchange.
These courses are delivered live by experienced university lecturers and qualified professionals, involve active engagement and participation in classroom settings, and rigorous evaluation.
The Academy was founded in response to the demand for communication and core skills training and professional development for both native and non-native English-speaking academics and students.
Communication and Academic Skills Courses: Training and Capacity Building
The Academy offers a series of courses aimed at providing classes at different levels of education and career, from those nurturing and developing core skills in young students at high school (IB), undergraduate levels, and at those refining skills at the postgraduate/doctoral student level, as well as those with more experience looking to perfect skills at the postdoctoral/professional level.
Students have the opportunity to learn from, and engage with, leading researchers and share best practises with their peers.
Core Content Courses: Global Literacy Skills
These core content courses are aimed at providing foundational introductions to key areas of study, using English as the lingua franca. They provide global literacy training and capacity building for students looking for international careers.
English Level Requirements
These courses are aimed at students with an advanced or native level of English, and also function as ESP/CLIL (English for Specific Purposes/Content and Language Integrated Learning) courses.
